Guardians of the Galaxy Minimalist Poster

For those who know me, know that I'm a HUGE comic book fan, and I go see every superhero movie that comes out. Now while I prefer DC over Marvel, I tend to at least know the bullet points of the comic the film is based off of. That was not the case with Guardians of the Galaxy. I went into that film knowing absolutely NOTHING about it, and I think that's what made it so amazing! I've seen it twice in theaters already and wouldn't mind seeing it one more time, it was such a great film. Because of this I decided to once again make a minimalist poster! Here it is!

Shaken Character Designs!

After completing work on Celestial, I decided that I wanted to work on my own short film. As I mentioned a long time ago, in the Character Animation program we had to pitch stories to the rest of the class. I had pitched a love story about a salt shaker and a pepper grinder, and while it wasn't chosen I still wanted to make it. Over the summer, I began to write a script for my short, called Shaken, and I also came up with character designs. After designing the characters, the next step was to make a model sheet and a maquette. I thought for now I could show you one of the characters, along with the completed maquette, and then in a future blogpost go into the maquette making process in detail.!

Without any further ado, allow me to introduce you to the main character of Shaken, Salt!

And here is the maquette I made a few months ago!

I can't wait to share more with you in the future!

Enjoy!

Freenlance Fun! Logo Design

I know I know, it's almost the end of the month and I haven't posted a single blog post! I'm sorry! I've been super busy this past month. I've been lucky that I've been doing a lot of freelance work since I graduated, so that's taking up a large chunk of time. Speaking of freelance, I wanted to share a logo design I recently did for my friend Christen! Christen is an awesome magician, and also one of the judges of Sy-Fy's Wizard Wars, and she was looking for someone to design a logo for her new Webshow "Bitchkraft"! She wanted, and I quote, "a my little pony-esque unicorn with a rainbow coming out of its butt." Well after coming up with a quick sketch, here is the final design!

To find out more about Bitchkraft, check them out once I have a link to plug haha

As always thanks for stopping by and enjoy!
